Matalan Alphabet Charity Scarf

Its great when a charity item is also a desirable item. Matalan’s Alphabet scarf for Alder Hey Childrens hospital is just that. Priced at £10 for adults and £5 for a kid version all the profits go to the charity. Loads of celebs are wearing them too which is brilliant. I fell in love with mine when I saw an Instagram of Sarah Jessica Parker wearing my design.

I picked the pink and grey version for something a bit different and its a lovely long soft scarf with an appliqué felt initial.

Since having my son, the idea of any child ill and in hospital, especially at Christmas just kills me and hospitals such as Alder Hey in Liverpool do an amazing job. I am more than happy to donate money to them and in a small way help a family in a terrible situation.

And here I am all alphabeted up!!!

Playsuit fun

Yesterday I went to Bluewater shopping centre for a bit of quality time with my boyfriend.  We went shopping, had a Nandos and then a date night at  the cinema…it was perfect

Of course I had to look the part so I went for a Primark playsuit, black tights and Next ankle boots.  I am a petite 5’2″ and since losing a lot of weight, find playsuits really work for my frame.  I love this one as even though it has quite a busy print with its black collar and a black belt I added, it looks really smart.  Its has an elasticated waist so doesn’t swamp me and I also love anything with pockets too!

I wore next leather ankle boots to keep the look cool rather than too dressy as I was wearing this mainly in the daytime.

For my hair and make up I kept it simple with a few flicks in my straightened hair and grey eye shadow and neutral lipstick.

Feeling Foxy

Love my cute New Look fox jumper…was a purchase early in the year but its perfect to come out again this winter (and probably for many winters till it eventually falls apart!).  The grey with flashes of burnt orange and white works really well with denim and is great for a smart’ish casual daytime look.

I teamed it with Dorothy Perkins Baxter skinny jeans (one of the best stretch skinny fits I’ve found), slouched knee socks and some great vintage style lace up boots I found on eBay.
