More La Redoute

You know I adore La Redoute (read about my first haul here) and I always have a saved wishlist waiting online for when they have their big promotions or sales and recently they had another 40% off promotion which equaled another La Redoute haul…so I went for it. Want to see what I got?

Red coat, slogan sweatshirt & white shirt

This is a perfect set of layering pieces and great worn with a pair of jeans for a smart casual look.

  • The boyfriend style coat is made from a twill type material rather than wool, so a couple of layers are required if I’m wearing it outside, but I do love wearing red – it always makes me feel great.
  • You can’t go wrong with a classic white shirt and this one has a nice bit of stretch in the cotton so can be worn firted underneath things.
  • And the sweatshirt? Well its always nice to be polite, oui?

High neck lace top

This top is a really great addition to my wardrobe and can be worn both to the office and dressed up for a night out. It is lovely quality and looks much more expensive than it was. Its definitely a new favourite piece.
Lace top / £24.50 (on sale) – find it here
Camisole / Primark (past season)

Metallic party top

Who doesn’t want to sparkle at Christmas? This 1980’s style top is made from the most amazing fabric – it looks like molten metal. Its dressy without being too over the top and is the perfect choice for a night out when you dont want to look too dressed up.  The frilled front and buttons up the back just add to its loveliness.
Frilled top / £34.30 (on sale) – find it here

Grey trainers

I am not one to buy unbranded trainers but I loved the laid back vibe of these. The different shades of grey felted wool look very stylish and they go with practically anything! Just no 50 shades of grey jokes, ok?

Meeting La Redoute

So I have fallen in love….

La Redoute is a French mail order company with a catalogue (an actual printed one you can flick through!) and a huge online shop selling womens, mens, kidswear and home. It is super stylish as you would expect from the French but also very reasonably priced! I placed my first order this month from their Summer sale and I have become utterly obsessed.

Have a look at my first 5 buys…

1 – ‘Soft Grey’ gingham ruffle shirt

Fitted with a western vibe, I am sold on this cute top. Perfect with skinny jeans and a ‘yee-ha’ attitude…

2 – ‘Mademoiselle M’ lace blouse

Very feminine with lovely lace detailing this top looks so much more expensive than it was…for modesty you do need a cami underneath though!

3 – ‘Soft Grey’ tie waist midi skirt

I’d been looking for a midi denim skirt for a while and this was perfect…and I do love a skirt or dress with pockets!

4 – Soft Grey’ high neck blouse

Inspired by blogger Erica Davis from the un-edited (again) I had to order this. Come Autumn I will be wearing this with EVERYTHING in fact I am already!

5 – ‘Soft Grey’ embroidered peasant top

Want a throw on summer top? This is perfect…and the embroidery and detailing are top notch…

And best of all, all these items were less than £15 each!

Other things I loved – you can order everything ‘click and collect’ to your local Hermes parcelshop so delivery is free and returns are free too. This is great when you’re still getting used to the sizing and want to order 2 sizes to compare. They have lots of customer promo code offers for full priced items – usually 20/25% but sometimes have a 40% off code so keep your eyes peeled – its worth signing up to their newsletter to keep in the loop. I have only bought in the sale but can’t wait for the new season offers.

Their home range is AMAZING! So far I’ve bought the most stunning rug. I blogged about it here and am coveting quite a few other pieces for when we decorate our lounge. The quality and design is some of the best I’ve seen in a non-premium range.

Things I didn’t love – I think you could say that La Redoute customer service is hit and miss. I had a parcel go missing (which finally got found), email confirmations werent always sent and delivery can take 7-10 days. However it is worth putting up with the less than slick operation as the clothes are wonderful quality and feel so different from the usual High St offering.

I’ve just placed another large order so look out for more items coming soon…

The thing I fell in love with this week

AFAW Rug : £45.50 – La Redoute

I first saw this rug on Erica Davis’ (the-edited.com) Instagram feed and immediately loved it. I love her style and I assumed it was a £300+ Morrocan number which would be way out of my budget. When she blogged about where it was from and now much it was retailing for I couldn’t believe it! We had just finished decorating our bedroom in a rather dark and dramatic teal colour and were looking for light accessories to add to the room and it was absolutely perfect. The quality of the rug is really good. Its is a shaggy Berber style rug and looks much more expensive than it was.Its really soft too and makes the perfect little chill out spot… This is the smaller size at 120cm x 170cm (its in a bedroom) but they have 2 other larger sizes and the same design in an inverted colour scheme – a black base with white pattern and also a cream and brown. Photo – La Redoute
